Sharing Results and Looking Ahead

As every year, the EMA team gathered in the beautiful Beaujolais region for its annual meeting. This much-anticipated event is an important opportunity for the whole team to reflect on the past year's achievements, exchange ideas, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

The meeting featured scientific presentations highlighting ongoing research within the group. Ioanna GKONI presented the results of her first experimental work carried out, conducted as part of the MSCA Doctoral Network Pharm-ERA. Her presentation sparked fruitful discussions and provided valuable perspectives for the next stages of her research.

Vincent TARDY also presented the results of the INRAE expertise in the context of the BioGonePOP Explore project, a project aiming at investigating the microbial mechanisms involved in the natural attenuation of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in contaminated environments, led by the French environmental engineering company Gone Environnement.

Finally, Stéphane outlined the team's roadmap for the coming year, presenting the main scientific and operational priorities. Particular attention was given to the launch of new activities within the EFFET-SEL project funded by the French Water Agency, which will be one of the major focuses of the team over the next months.

Beyond the scientific discussions, the annual meeting once again provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen team cohesion in a friendly and inspiring setting. Many thanks to everyone for their contributions and enthusiasm throughout these two productive days!
