First EcotoxicoMic Research School

Several members of the EMA team actively participated in the First EcotoxicoMic Research School, organized by Chloé Bonnineau in the Arcachon Basin near Bordeaux in France. This event, which focused on Functional Experimental Approaches in Microbial Ecotoxicology, brought together experts and emerging researchers to explore the intersection of environmental stressors and microbial communities in various ecosystems. Laura Kergoat contributed as a trainer, sharing her expertise with participants, while Ioanna Gkoni attended as a student, benefiting from the event’s interdisciplinary approach. Stéphane Pesce was also involved in the organizing committee, playing a key role in the event's success.
